Who We Are
Advance Pathways is the operator of the Aurora Regional Navigation Campus that addresses the needs of adults facing homelessness in Aurora with a goal for them to gain the needed skills to secure and maintain high quality, dependable employment, and lasting, secure housing. We provide about 300 people per night with emergency shelter and other housing program options as well as day services.

Position Summary:
The Resource Navigator Overnight Supervisor reports to our housing manager and supports guests by maintaining a safe and supportive environment, and assisting with daily shelter operations. This role will supervise up to about 10 overnight staff to ensure the Advance Pathways team fosters a safe and healthy environment while maintaining the facility, supporting guests through active listening, and providing a connection to resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide supervision of overnight staff to ensure intakes are captured, our homeless guests are treated with respect, suspensions are properly administered, and program guidelines are followed.
  • Complete documentation and maintain accurate records in HMIS.
  • Respond to crises using trauma-informed approaches.
  • Monitor the facility to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
  • Complete regular walkthroughs of the property.  
  • Participate in team meetings and maintain professional communication.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of guest and organizational information.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Experience with HMIS or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • 3+ year’s experience working with the adult homeless population
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred
  • Conflict resolution and trauma-informed care experience
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to pass a Colorado Bureau of Investigation background check
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness preferred
  • Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds

The Successful Candidate:  
  • Must maintain a drug-free status (including THC) and be willing to submit to pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with organizational policy and applicable law.
  • Demonstrates strong alignment with Advance Pathway’s mission and vision, and a commitment to serving individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Dedicated to professional development and self-awareness.
  • Familiar with trauma-informed and empowerment models.
  • Strong administrative skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.


  Benefits
  • Compensation dependent on experience, beginning at $27/hour
  • Paid time off plan begins at 2-weeks (10 days) per year.
  • Sick time is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked
